Hi All !!
Keep an eye on ''Aadhar Drive'' in your area. For those who are not aware, The representatives of Aadhar has been organizing a drive/camp in each and every zones in Chennai, where by you need to bring your ration card and there itself they will take your snap, Finger Prints and IRIS.
They will provide you with the acknowledgement copy of your application for Aadhar card. They will be in the area for some 15 to 20 days. Make use of this opportunity. Else, we might have to approach the authorities and run behind them for applying.
The Corporation personnels or the Population Census personnels will give a slip at your doorstep. Keep an eye & ear on the neighbours door as well. More possibility of these people missing our house. This slip serves as an intimation that the camp will be held in your area.
Those who newly shifted into a area can fill the fresh forms available with the person who delivers the slip at your area.

Aadhar card is essential for receiving the Gas Cylinders at the subsidized rates, else the price will be doubled. Stay aware !!
Not many people are aware about these camps and hence most of the camps were almost empty. We need to spread the awareness some how and hence I am making this post. Here I will try to post about the schedule of camps as and when I got to know about the official schedule.
Here goes the schedules for the month of August 2013 . I came to know about this in a AD in Times of India Newspaper. It might not caught the attention of many, hence I feel its worth to share it in my blog. I have added few more columns and customised the data which I got from that Advertisement. For the convenience of the readers, I am posting the camp schedule as text instead of posting as image. Readers can use "CTRL + F" to find their own location.

I am from Virugampakkam - finally called this No.9445190210 to find centres doing registration and came to know that all registration finished and req me to come to Rev. Dept for further detail. I am residing in a block consists of 64 families and none got information about the process. Why don't they inform earlier to make ourself present? Is any other way to get the actual/correct information before hand?

deepak, i have lost the receipt(chit) given to me and the sticker which they have put up says that census 2011.. the person whom i spoke says 2010..am confused

ReplyDeleteDeepak, We were residing in Royapettah when the census happened but we now moved to guindy. However, we have the slip with us which the Census officer gave us. Do we need to fill fresh application or that slip is enough for us get the AAdhar card?
ReplyDeleteThe slip is enough to apply for the aadhar card. You can contact the neighbours in Royapet as to whether the camp has been completed or not. If they haven't started the camp, then no issues. You just go the venue of the camp and produce this slip with your ration card. Thats it.

Ramki Sir, may i know where you previously resided ? Check with that area neighbours whether have they have initiated the camp in that area. Alternatively, you can call 44 - 2446 0910 and check with them.

I had receipt of cencus taken at 2010 at chennai. My ration card is cancelled in madurai. I am having the cancelled ration card. In chennai I am having sale cum deed of my flat, My employer bonafide, mobile post paid(tata docomo), gas connection. How could I apply for aadhaar card. We are not getting any info around Venagaivasal, Tambaram East.

Yeah you are right sir, this going to be the single ID proof. But the recent SC ruling has ignited a doubt on its applicability. And they told that it will take 3 months from the date of applying to despatch the cards to our address..
